The Commons at Stanton Square

The Commons at Stanton Square is a community programming campus being built in Ward 8 through the collaborative efforts of the Horning Family Fund, the Horning Brothers, Community of Hope, and Martha’s Table. The project is not just about co-locating organizations on this site. It is about collaborating, adding value, and serving the kids and families in the community by many programs. The project will support the development of children, parental supports, nutrition education programs, and emotional wellness, as well as out of school programs for elementary and older youth. The premise is that if the kids get services from all of the service offerings, the outcomes will be better than if they were just in an early childhood program. It’s not just about what services each organization provides, but also about collaborative work and impact.

The new website functions as an information hub for the development of the center, allowing people to feel connected to the project. Visitors are able to get a timeline of what to expect, the story behind The Commons, and the roles of the lead partners. In the end, the websitec ommunicate that the community has ownership in this project; that we are all in this together.

Before working with Brand Calling, I felt overwhelmed by the thought of having to find the right person to develop our website. I needed someone who would be patient with a non-techie and who could capture the vision of multiple partners.

During our very first meeting with our partners, I felt confident that Shala was the right fit for the project. I felt that she heard what we wanted to accomplish, was flexible when we decided to make changes, and responsive to our needs. In the end, the website captured the very essence of what we wanted to communicate.

We made the right choice — professional with a personal touch, knowledgeable, and honest. I would definitely use Shala again. I even received a tutorial on how to make updates to the site.

The website totally exceeded my expectations. It captured the collaborative essence of the project and its partners. We received a great website for a great price. Would definitely use Brand Calling again.
